| 1. Winifred Joy Merryweather, b. 1958 |
From a letter from Mary Lowe Nee Merryweather in 1976 she states Alfred
studied Medicine at Edinburgh and qualified in 1940 in 1940 he was
drafted to the Indian Army, when released from army service he went to
the Scott Livingstone Hospital in Bechuanaland (now Botswana). He became
the first speaker of the Botswana Legisture Assembly when Botswana
achieved independence, for his services he was awarded the C.B.E by the
Queen of England and Presidential Order of Honer by Sir Seretae Klama. he
was very badly injured in a car crash in1971 where his wife was killed,
they had one daughter
Alfred's abode in 1975 was Scottish Livingstone Hospital, 10 Molepolole,
