I am a descendant (10th generation) of Thomas Barnes and Abigail
Goodenow, and just discovered your website. If you are agreeable I would
like to share family information with you. For example I have run in to
a dead end in trying to find Thomas's English ancestors and where he
lived before he came to this country in 1656. Some sources cite Barking
in Essex, others Kirkbride in Northumberland. Have you been able to dig
up anything on his forebears? There is lots of information on the
Goodenow side, and I have Ted Banvard's excellent book.
