In the early 1990s a Geoffrey Brownen (aged 72 at that time) of Holways,
Eastwood, N S W Australia visited England and told a cousin Roy Brownen
that his relatives were buried at plots W72 and X72 of Jumpers Cemetery
Christchurch, Hampshire England.
The Register of this Cemetery shows that Frances Martha Brownen nee
Frances Martha Lightfoot 1831-1890 and her husband Christopher Brownen
1830-1883 were interred there.
As this does not tally with the only record of immigration it leaves the
question did more than one Brownen family go to Australia
