Milton Village with its Wheat Sheaf and George Inn's in the early 1900s. The original George was knocked down in 1904. Milton and its surrounding villages and manors were listed in the Doomsday Book of 1086. Painstaking research by local historian Arthur Lloyd has identified 1896 as being the year in which Milton became "New".
Both the Inns were owned or run by Brownen's at some time!
