HINTON PARK WOODLAND BURIAL GROUND
The Burial Centre, Hinton,
Nr Christchurch, Dorset BH23 7EJ England.

Hinton Park Woodland Burial Ground is an exclusive, privately owned natural burial ground, run by Michael Hedger. Mike and his family have lived in Hinton since 1976 and have lived in Hinton House since 1988. Hinton House was originally a Manor Farm House dating back to 1604 and is surrounded by 30 acres of mature woodland and park trees.
The Woodland Burial Ground is within the New Forest Heritage area, so no development of any kind is allowed. The New Forest Planning Department at Lyndhurst granted Planning Permission and knows that the site at Hinton is a Woodland Burial Ground. They would not therefore grant any form of building or development on top of this existing permission. The strongest safeguard is your Deed of Ownership. You and your family own the plot for 99 years from the date of Burial. The youngest owner today is approximately 15 years old. His plot could therefore go on for 180 years. With hundreds of different plots all maturing at different times, over a period of many years, would make it impossible for a developer to negotiate.
The Owner of HPWBG stipulates in his Will that the site should become a Wood1and of Perpetuity".
